Event Overview
The Devil's Den Ultra is an ultra marathon event located in Bradford, Vermont. The race is held on Wright's Mountain, the tallest peak in the area, during the peak foliage season. Participants navigate a rugged course that starts at the Devil's Den trailhead.
The event features a 10 km loop that includes 1,600 feet of climbing per lap. The course follows trails that weave up and over the mountain terrain. Runners can choose from several timed or distance-based options:
- 30 Hour Event: Participants must complete at least a 50 km distance to be considered an official finisher.
- 12 Hour Event: Runners must remain active participants for the entire duration of the time limit.
- 10 km Event: Participants must complete a single loop within a 5-hour cutoff time.
Recognition and Awards
All participants who complete their respective event requirements receive a finisher medal. Runners who achieve a distance of 100 miles are awarded a specialized buckle. Additionally, the top male and female finishers for each event category receive a Devil's Skull award.
