Devil's Den Ultra - Bradford, VT
Devil's Den Ultra is a multi-distance trail event held on Wright's Mountain in Bradford, Vermont. The organizer offers three race options:
- 30-hour
- 12-hour
- 6 Miler / 10K
The course is a loop on Wright's Mountain that runs partly on private property and public trails. The trail surface varies from easy runnable sections to steep, rocky and rooty singletrack. The route includes a steeper climb to the mountain peak, a fast downhill through woods, and one road crossing near the beginning. Participants are asked to avoid private areas outside the race and to stay on public trails for training.
The start/finish area serves as the race base, parking area and pit area for longer races. Twelve-hour runners are allocated space for a small drop bin; thirty-hour runners receive a 10 by 10 foot pit area for crew setup. Pre-registration is available the evening before the event from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the start/finish area.
The field is capped at 100 runners. Finishers receive themed tarot cards and awards: all finishers receive the Devil tarot card, and additional cards and prizes are given for top day and night miles and distance milestones.
