Derwent Reservoir Duathlons
The annual duathlon takes place at Derwent Reservoir in County Durham on 17 May 2026. The event offers two individual duathlon formats and relay entries, plus separate 5km and 10km trail runs. Running uses tarmac and trail paths around the waterside. Cycling follows quiet open roads around the reservoir towards Edmundbyers, Blanchland and Slaley.

- Sprint Duathlon: Run 5km | Cycle 20km | Run 2.5km
- Standard Duathlon: Run 10km | Cycle 40km | Run 5km
- Trail runs: 5km and 10km
A secure transition area is provided for competitors only. Race and bike numbers correspond with racking spots; small bags or boxes are permitted inside transition. Bike number must be attached and a cycling helmet must be visible before entering transition. Bib and bike numbers will be checked before exiting.
Due to the use of open roads, the minimum age is 17. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. An official event T shirt is available for £12.00. On site parking is available for participants at £4 per car payable by cash or card.
