Derwent Reservoir Duathlons : 17 May 2026
The Derwent Reservoir Duathlons take place at Derwent Waterside Park, Derwent Reservoir, Edmundbyers, Consett, DH8 9TT. The event uses the south side of the reservoir. Running takes place on a mix of tarmac and trail paths around the waterside. Cycling uses quiet open roads around the reservoir towards Edmundbyers, Blanchland and Slaley.
The event offers duathlon distances plus separate trail runs. Any type of push bike may be used, but a cycling helmet must be worn. Due to use of open roads the minimum age for entries is 17. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North.
Transition area information is provided for competitors only and includes a secure racking area. Race number and bike number correspond with racking spot. Small bags or boxes are permitted inside transition. Bike number must be attached and helmet visible before entering. Bib and bike numbers will be checked before exiting.
All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. An official event T-shirt is available as an optional extra for £12.00.
