Dentdale Run 2027
Dentdale Run is a road race held in Dent, in the Yorkshire Dales, on Saturday 13 March 2027. The event offers two courses: a traditional loop of approximately 14.2 miles and a new 10 km course. Both routes run through the cobbled village of Dent and along narrow lanes in Dentdale, and include hilly profiles and a short section of footpath (about 150 m) across a footbridge and pasture.
Course details include mile markers and a half marathon mark on the traditional loop, and kilometre markers on the 10 km course. Both races are chip timed and results are displayed on a large screen inside the race headquarters at Dent C of E Primary School. Numbers are collected on the day. The race is not suitable for wheelchairs. The event has an entry limit of 750 places; the organisers list available places and an entry fee range of £21.00 to £23.00 depending on affiliation and age category. Entry on the day may be available for an additional £2.00 if the race has not sold out.
Facilities at the race headquarters include water stations, toilets, changing rooms, showers, baggage storage and free village parking. Finishers receive tea or coffee, sandwiches and cakes. The event is organised to raise funds for the village primary school, with profits directed to the school. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
