Event overview
The 2026 Dentdale Run will take place on Saturday 14 March. It is a road race held in the Yorkshire Dales that raises funds for Dent Church of England Primary School; the 2025 event generated £3,500 for the school. The course is described as challenging, and many runners use it as a warm-up for the London Marathon. Entry for the 2026 event will open before the race and entries are limited.
Routes, parking and spectators
Distances:
- 14.2 miles : Dent to Sedbergh, turn at Rash Bridge, return via Cowgill, finish in village.
- 7.9 miles : Follows the first half of the course then returns to finish in Dent village.
Organisers note that Dent village is small and recommend arriving in plenty of time and following the instructions of parking marshals. For safety, parking on the roadside anywhere on the course is not allowed. Spectators are welcome and are asked to avoid actions that could endanger runners, volunteers or other road users. Results from previous years are kept for past events. The event is supported by a number of sponsors and donors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
