Course and race information
There are two distances on closed road-like routes with hilly profiles:
- 14.2 miles
- 7.9 miles
The 14.2-mile route heads out from Dent towards Sedbergh, turns back at Rash Bridge, returns along the valley towards Cowgill, turns back at Ewegales and finishes in the centre of Dent village. The 7.9-mile route covers the first half of that course before turning back to finish in the village. The course is chip timed and distance markers include 10 km and half marathon points. Race headquarters is at Dent Church of England Primary School. On-site facilities listed by the organiser include water stations, toilets, changing and shower facilities, a baggage store and free village parking. Numbers are collected on race day. Finishers are provided with sandwiches, cake and hot drinks. Spectators are welcome and asked to follow marshal instructions and avoid parking on the course roads.
