About the race
Beyond the Lune is a trail running event held in Kirkby Lonsdale, starting and finishing at The Royal Barn, home to the Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery and Coffee Roasters. The event offers two distances: a 15km run with 500m ascent and a 25km run with 770m ascent, both featuring a mix of footpaths, bridleways, and on/off-road sections. Runners tackle three local summits, including scenic views over the Lune Valley and the Lake District.
Participants enjoy a free pastry and fresh coffee at the start, and a finishing pint of local beer with a sweet treat. The course is fully signed with marshals, and live music is featured at the venue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
