Beyond the Lune

Beyond the Lune is a trail running event held in Kirkby Lonsdale, starting and finishing at The Royal Barn, home to the Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery and Coffee Roasters. It offers two distances: a 15km route with 500m ascent and a 25km route with 770m ascent, both featuring a mix of on- and off-road sections. Runners tackle three local summits, including scenic views over the Lune Valley and the Lake District.

The course includes challenging climbs, woodland paths, and the famous 99 steps near the finish. Participants enjoy a free pastry and coffee at the start, and a finishing beer and sweet treat, with live music at The Barn on event day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
