Demi-marathon de l'Acadie
The Demi-marathon de l'Acadie takes place in Tracadie on a new two-loop course that starts and finishes at Piscine S.A. Dionne, after the Snowball Bridge closure required a route change. A shorter distance was added to the event held monthly on the first Sunday.
Distances offered:
- 21.1 km half marathon
- 10.55 km half half marathon
- Virtual options for both distances
Registration is online only; there is no race day registration. The regular registration deadline is September 4, 2026. Fees are listed in Canadian dollars and are non refundable.
Runners who expect to take more than 2 hours 20 minutes may request an early start by notifying the race director the day before the event no later than 6 pm. The virtual race can be completed on any course after registration; participants must send a selfie with their watch showing time and distance to the race director before 6 pm on the Sunday of the in person event.
Minimum ages are 16 for the half marathon and 14 for the half half marathon. The top three overall and the top three female finishers in each distance receive medals. Medals are presented on the second floor of Piscine S.A. Dionne and a meal is provided to participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
