Demi-marathon de l'Acadie 467th edition
The Demi-marathon de l'Acadie takes place in Tracadie-Sheila, New Brunswick on September 6, 2026. Due to the Snowball Bridge closure the course was changed in 2026 to a two-loop route that starts and finishes at Piscine S.A. Dionne, 4216 rue Hall. The course is not certified.
The event is part of a monthly race held on the first Sunday of each month. Since May 2026 the organizers offer two distance options in both in-person and virtual formats. Runners for both distances start together on the same start line and follow the same route; half marathon entrants complete two loops while the shorter distance runners complete one.
Distances offered:
- 21.1 km half marathon and virtual version
- 10.55 km half half marathon and virtual version
Registration is online only; there is no race day registration. Regular registration deadline is September 4, 2026 at 11:59 pm Atlantic Time. All fees are non-refundable. Fees in CAD are listed as 20.00 for the half marathon, 10.00 for the half marathon virtual, 15.00 for the 10.55 km, and 10.00 for the 10.55 km virtual.
Minimum ages are 16 for the half marathon and 14 for the 10.55 km. The top three overall and the top three female finishers for each distance receive gold, silver, or bronze medals. Medals are presented on the second floor of Piscine S.A. Dionne after the race where a meal is served to participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
