Demi-marathon de l'Acadie : description
The Demi-marathon de l'Acadie (DMA) will take place on October 4, 2026 in Tracadie-Sheila, New Brunswick. The original route was changed in 2026 because of the Snowball Bridge closure; the new course consists of two loops that start and finish at Piscine S.A. Dionne, 4216 rue Hall. The course is not certified and the event is listed as established in 2026.
The event offers in-person and virtual formats. Distances offered are:
- 21.1 km Half marathon
- 10.55 km Half-half marathon
Runners for both distances start on the same start line; half-half participants run the course once, half marathon participants run it twice. The virtual race may be completed on any course after registration; results must be submitted to the race director by a selfie showing the watch with time and distance before 6 pm on the Sunday of the in-person race.
Registration is online only and there is no race day registration. All entry fees are non-refundable. The first three overall and the first three female finishers in each distance receive medals (gold, silver, bronze). Medals are presented on the second floor of Piscine S.A. Dionne after the race and a meal is served to participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
