The Demi-marathon de l'Acadie returns to Tracadie with a new looped course. Runners complete two laps of the 10 km de Tracadie route, starting and finishing at the S.A. Dionne Pool. A post-race meal and medal ceremony conclude this winter event.

Demi-marathon de l'Acadie

The Demi-marathon de l'Acadie takes place in Tracadie-Sheila, New Brunswick. This 470th edition is scheduled for December 6, 2026.

Due to the closure of the Snowball Bridge, the course has been changed for an undetermined period. The start and finish are now at the same location, the Piscine S. A. Dionne in Tracadie (4216 rue Hall). The new route uses the 10 km de Tracadie course, which participants run twice to complete the half marathon distance. Two water stations will be set up.

Registration is online only. Bib pickup takes place before 9:45 AM on the second floor of the pool. After the race, a meal is served at the same location and medals are awarded. The minimum age to register is 16.

Participants expecting to take more than 2:15 to complete the course can request an early start at 9:00 AM. This request must be made to the race director before 6:00 PM on the Saturday before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
