Demi-marathon de l'Acadie
The Demi-marathon de l'Acadie takes place in Tracadie with a two-loop course that starts and finishes at Piscine S.A. Dionne, 4216 rue Hall. The course was changed in 2026 because of the Snowball Bridge closure.
The event offers in-person and virtual options for two distances:
- 21.1 km half marathon
- 10.55 km half-half marathon
Virtual entries can be completed on any course after registration. To validate a virtual result, participants must send a selfie showing their watch with time and distance to the race director on race day. Minimum ages are 16 for the half marathon and 14 for the half-half marathon.
Awards are given to the first three overall positions and the first three women for each distance; medals are awarded in gold, silver or bronze. Medals are presented on the second floor of Piscine S.A. Dionne after the race, where a meal is served to participants.
Registration is available online only and fees are non-refundable. The course is not certified. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
