Event details
The 470e Demi-marathon de l'Acadie takes place in Tracadie-Sheila, New Brunswick, on December 6, 2026. The course was changed because the Snowball Bridge in downtown Tracadie is closed. The start and finish are at Piscine S.A. Dionne, 4216 rue Hall. The half marathon uses the 10 km de Tracadie course run twice. The course is not certified. Two water stations will be available along the route. As a seasonal feature, Santa Claus is listed as participating and runners are encouraged to wear Christmas colors. A meal is served after the race and medals are awarded to finishers.
Registration and logistics
Online registration is required; there is no race-day registration. The minimum age to register is 16. The event was established in 2025. The regular registration deadline is listed as Dec 4 at 23:59 Atlantic Time. The registration fee is CAD $20.00 and the event does not allow refunds. Registered runners may pick up their bib on site before the race on the second floor of Piscine S.A. Dionne. Runners who expect to take more than 2h15 to complete the course may request an early start from the race director before the Saturday prior to the event.
