The Event

The Demi-marathon de l'Acadie is an in-person half marathon (21.1 km) held in Tracadie-Sheila, New Brunswick. The event was established in 2025.

The Course

Due to the closure of the Snowball Bridge in downtown Tracadie, the course has been changed for an undetermined period. The new route uses the existing 10 km de Tracadie course, which runners complete twice. The start and finish are at the same location, the Piscine S. A. Dionne in Tracadie, located at 4216 rue Hall. Two water stations will be set up along the route.

Practical Information

Registration is done online only, and race bibs can be picked up before 9:45 AM on the second floor of the Piscine S.A. Dionne. A meal is served after the race, and medals are awarded. The minimum age to participate is 16 years old. Runners who anticipate needing more than 2 hours and 15 minutes to complete the course must notify the race director before 6:00 PM on the Saturday before the event to arrange an early start at 9:00 AM.
