The Demi-marathon de l'Acadie takes place in Tracadie-Sheila, New Brunswick on August 2, 2026. The main distance is a half marathon. The event was established in 2025 and the course is not certified. The minimum age to register is 16 years.
Course and logistics
The course has been changed because the Snowball Bridge in downtown Tracadie is closed. The new start and finish are at Piscine S.A. Dionne, 4216 rue Hall. Organizers will use the Tracadie 10 km course and runners will complete that course twice. Two water stations will be available along the route. Registered runners collect their bibs on the second floor of Piscine S.A. Dionne; a meal will be served there after the race and medals will be presented.
Registration and fees
Registration is online only; there is no race-day registration. The regular registration deadline is July 31. The entry fee is CAD 20.00 and the event does not allow refunds. Runners who expect to take more than 2 hours 15 minutes to finish are asked to contact the race director before the Saturday of the race to request an early start.
