General Information
The Demi-marathon de l'Acadie is a road race held in Tracadie-Sheila, New Brunswick. This is the event's 466th edition. Participation is open to individuals aged 16 and over. Registration is online only, with a fee of $20 CAD. Race bibs must be picked up before the start.
Course and Changes
Due to the closure of the Snowball Bridge, the course has been changed for an undetermined period. The start and finish are now at the same location, the Piscine S. A. Dionne, located at 4216 rue Hall in Tracadie. The course uses the local 10 km de Tracadie route, which participants run twice to complete the half marathon. Two water stations are provided along the route. It is not a certified course.
Practical Information
A meal is served after the race, along with a medal ceremony. Runners who anticipate needing more than 2 hours and 15 minutes to complete the course must contact the race director before 6:00 p.m. on the Saturday before the event to arrange an early start at 9:00 a.m. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
