Delamere Forest Wildwood Trail Series
The Delamere Forest Wildwood Trail Series takes place on Sunday 27 September 2026 at Delamere Forest, Cheshire. The event uses the forest trails around the Delamere Forest Visitors Centre at Linmere.
Route options include:
- Half Marathon two laps
- 10K one lap
The courses run on well-marked forest paths and technical trails. The route includes steep climbs, muddy sections, and wooded views. Aid stations, marshals on route, chip timing, online results, event photography, and a finisher's medal are provided.
A canicross option is available; dogs are permitted only in canicross races. Push-buggies are not permitted. Age limits state participants must be 17 or older to enter the Half Marathon. There is no upper age limit for the 10K, but participants aged 14 or younger must run with an adult.
Race headquarters are located in front of the Delamere Forest Visitors Centre, Linmere, Delamere, Northwich CW8 2HZ. Parking is available at Whitefield Car Park, Oakmere, Frodsham WA6 6NX. Delamere railway station is approximately 800 metres from the visitor centre.
The event includes several sustainability measures, such as recycled and biodegradable materials, plastic-free water stations with a reusable cup option, low-carbon energy use, encouragement of sustainable travel, and route planning to minimise environmental impact.
