Liverpool MoRun at Croxteth Park
The event offers chip-timed runs around Croxteth Park in Liverpool, supporting the Movember charity. Distances on the day include:
- 1.5 km Mini MoRun for children, race chipped
- 5 km MoRun one lap
- 10 km MoRun two laps
- Half Marathon four laps plus an additional 1.1 km section at the start
The course mixes path and trail surfaces, is described as flat, is dog friendly when dogs are kept on a short lead, and is generally okay for buggies though some sections can be bumpy or muddy. The route is not suitable for wheelchairs. The 5k, 10k and half marathon use lap formats as noted above.
Participants receive a MoRunning medal and headband, full race chip timing on a chip-on-bib system, drinks and treats, and access to prize draws and reward points. Mini MoRunners receive a Mini Mo medal, chip timing, headband, drinks, sweets, and marshals support; prizes are awarded for winning mini runners. Event facilities include an event hub with toilets, limited bag storage under manned gazebos, and parking off Muirhead Avenue East and Oak Lane; disabled permit holders can use a service entrance near Croxteth Hall.
The event supports Movember; fundraising and donations during entry help Movember programmes for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Results are provided using gun time and net time and the event is not currently UK Athletics affiliated. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
