All entrants must be 18 years or older on race day. The event has a total of 200 places, a waiting list once full, and no refunds or deferrals. Course, support and rules

The course will be waymarked but runners are responsible for knowing the route. Water stations and drop bags are provided at about 8 miles, about 16.5 miles (halfway), and about 25 miles. The race is cupless; marshals will refill runners' own bottles or cups. Drop bags should be no bigger than a large freezer zip bag and clearly marked with the race number. Toilets are available at registration, in Duthie Park, and at Milton of Crathes (around 16–18 miles). Two cut-off points are in place (at the halfway and 3/4-way checkpoints); runners who miss cut offs will be marked DNF and asked to stop. A sweeper will assist from the halfway point. No support runners are permitted. Mandatory kit includes hat, gloves, full waterproofs (jacket and trousers) and a foil blanket. Withdrawn runners are responsible for their own transport. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
