About the race
Kayleigh's Wee Stars Turkey Trot is scheduled for 20 December 2026 at the Oldmeldrum Legion in Meldrum town centre. The event is presented as a Christmas Fun Run with a sociable format rather than a race. The course is an 8K Fun Run (7.8 km) on quiet country roads that are open to traffic. There are no prizes and no official timing.
Participants are invited to wear festive clothing. At the halfway turn point there will be Festive Friends to provide encouragement. There is no water stop - participants should be self-sufficient for hydration. Finishers receive a bespoke Kayleigh's Wee Stars Christmas decoration as a goody.
The event is open to runners aged 11 and over; those under 14 must be supervised by an adult. Refreshments will be available at the Legion afterwards, and the venue will host Christmas activities for families, a late-afternoon singalong, and a bar. Entry is shown at £22.50, with proceeds directed to Kayleigh's Wee Stars. The organiser lists a total of 140 places for the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
