Kayleigh's Wee Stars Turkey Trot 2026
The event is scheduled for 20 December 2026 in Oldmeldrum, with the meeting point at the Oldmeldrum Legion in Meldrum town centre. It is presented as an 8 km fun run of about 7.8 km. The run is non-competitive: there is no racing and no prizes. Participants are encouraged to wear festive clothing.
The route follows quiet country roads that remain open to traffic. There is no water stop on course, so participants are expected to be self-sufficient. At the halfway turn point there will be volunteers or helpers cheering on participants.
The event is open to runners aged 11 years and older; those under 14 must be supervised by an adult. A bespoke KWS Christmas decoration is provided as a finisher goody. After the run, refreshments and family activities will take place in the Legion, including a late afternoon singalong and a bar.
Entry is priced at £22.50 and all proceeds go to Kayleigh’s Wee Stars. The organiser lists a total of 140 places for the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
