Deadwater Trail Run : event overview
The Deadwater Trail Run takes place on 27 December 2025 in Kielder Forest. It is organised by Cold Brew Events Ltd and is Race 1 of the Shadowlands Race Series. The event is a night trail race of 15 km with 603 m of elevation. The route uses forest tracks and mountain bike trails, centres around the Deadwater mountain bike trail, summits the highest point of Deadwater Fell, and then descends back to the finish. There are event prizes and competitors can earn points toward the series presentation scheduled for 21 February 2026 at Pedalling Squares cafe.
Entry and practical information
Entries are open from 26 October 2025 and close on 22 December 2025. The minimum age is 18 on the event date. Entry fees are listed as UKA member £28.00 and non member £30.00, plus a booking fee; the fee includes a £4 charge for Forestry England.
