Dawson Lake Dash
The Dawson Lake Dash is a road race held at Dawson Lake in Moraine View State Park in LeRoy, Illinois. The main course follows public roads around rolling hills by the lake. The event includes running and walking options and separate activities for children and dogs.
Distances and entry fees:
- 3.5 Miles Run/Walk : registration fee $15.00
- 1 Mile Kids Run, One Mile Walk, and Puppy Prance : registration fee $10.00
Registration for the listed events opens on 2026-03-01. Registration deadlines differ by event and are published by the organizer. Technical running tanks can be purchased during registration; a very limited quantity of extra tanks may be available for cash purchase on race day.
Bib and shirt pickup is available at Fleet Feet Bloomington during regular store hours on the Saturday before the event. Race day registration and bib pickup take place at Moraine View on the morning of the event.
All race proceeds will be donated to the Humane Society of Central Illinois. Organizers also seek volunteers to assist with event operations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
