Dawson Lake Dash
The Dawson Lake Dash is a road race held around the rolling hills of Dawson Lake in Moraine View State Park in LeRoy, Illinois. The event offers separate running and community activities that include a 3.5 mile run/walk and a one mile kids run, one mile walk and Puppy Prance for children and dogs.

Registration opens March 1, 2026. Registration for the 3.5 mile event closes July 21, 2026; registration for the kids and puppy events remains open through August 2, 2026. Entry fees listed by the organizers are $15 for the 3.5 mile and $10 for the kids, walk and Puppy Prance events.
Race apparel and extras are available during registration; technical tanks are guaranteed only to participants who purchase a tank during registration through July 16. A limited number of extra technical tanks may be available for cash purchase on race day at $20.
Bib and t-shirt pick-up is available at Fleet Feet Bloomington during regular store hours on Saturday. Race day registration and bib pick-up will be at Moraine View on Sunday.
All race proceeds will be donated to the Humane Society of Central Illinois. Organizers request volunteers to help support the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
