Event Overview

The Dawson Lake Dash takes place at Moraine View State Park in Le Roy, Illinois. It is a 3.5 mile road race on the rolling hills around Dawson Lake. The event also includes a Kids Run, a One Mile Walk, and a Puppy Prance.

Location and Logistics

The race uses chip timing. Participants can pick up their bibs at Fleet Feet Bloomington on Saturday or at Moraine View State Park on race day morning. Technical tanks are available for purchase with registration by a specified deadline, with a limited number for cash purchase on race day. This year's 3.5-mile course will run in the reverse (counterclockwise) direction compared to the previous year. The course is open to park traffic, and walkers are welcome with a request to finish within one hour.

Additional Details

All race proceeds are donated to the Humane Society of Central Illinois. The event includes an "Adopt-A-Jogger" option to participate in the Puppy Prance with a shelter dog.
