Dawson Lake Dash
The Dawson Lake Dash is a road race around the rolling hills of Dawson Lake in Moraine View State Park in Le Roy, Illinois. The event includes multiple short distance events for runners, walkers, children and dogs.
- 3.5 Miles road run and walk around Dawson Lake
- 1 Mile kids run, one mile walk and puppy prance (untimed)
Registration opens March 1, 2026. Early pricing for the 3.5 mile is $15 and increases to $20 on July 21, 2026. The untimed kids run, one mile walk and puppy prance are $10. Technical tanks are available for purchase through registration until July 20, 2026; limited extras will be sold for $20 cash on race day.
All participants will receive a finisher's DOG-tag for each race. Bib and tank pickup is available at Fleet Feet Bloomington during regular store hours on Saturday August 1. Race day registration and bib pickup will be available at Moraine View State Park on the day of the event.
All race proceeds will be donated to the Humane Society of Central Illinois. Organizers request volunteers to assist with event operations and logistics. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
