Ugliest Sweater Run
The Ugliest Sweater Run is a holiday-themed, non-competitive run or walk held at Miller Park in Bloomington on Saturday, December 12, 2026. The event is presented by Bloomington Parks and Recreation and Fleet Feet Bloomington and offers short and longer looped routes around the park with costume prizes.
Participants can choose between:
- 3 miles: two and a half loops around Miller Park
- 1.5 miles: one and a half loops around Miller Park
Award categories for sweaters include Most Creative Sweater Engineering; Cutest in an Ugly Sweater; Walking Christmas Tree Award; Best Sweater in Motion; Most Likely to Overheat from Excessive Decorations; and Best 3D Outfit.
Race information notes that bib pick up is available during regular store hours at Fleet Feet Bloomington the day before the event and at the Miller Park Pavilion before the run. Registration is electronic only; there will be late and race day registration but no paper forms. Shirt pre-orders for 2026 close on November 30, with very limited extras available for purchase on race day for cash. There is a one hour course time limit; all participants must finish within one hour. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. In the event the directors cancel or delay the event for safety, there is no refund, though shirts will still be available for pick-up.
