Event details

Dash by the Past takes place on April 11, 2026, in Indianapolis, IN 46208. The event offers the following distances:

5K: Adult 5K and Kids’ 5K (ages 5-12)
1 mile: Adult 1 Mile Walk and Kids’ 1 Mile Walk (ages 5-12)

Registration price listed is $25 for each event. Children ages 0-4 do not need to be registered. Each registered participant receives a t-shirt in adult or youth sizes. Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female finishers. The event begins and ends at the Meridian Restaurant & Bar, 5694 N. Meridian Street.

Course and purpose

The route runs along Meridian Street and passes previous Decorators’ Show House and Gardens homes. Meridian Street will be closed to traffic for the event. Proceeds benefit The Gregory S. Fehribach Center at Eskenazi Health, which advances employment equity for college and university students with physical disabilities through a paid internship program and professional development. The event is presented with support from Stock Yards Bank & Trust and is organized in association with St. Margaret’s Hospital Guild.
