Event overview

Dash by the Past takes place on April 11, 2026, in Indianapolis, IN 46208. The route runs along Meridian Street and passes previous Decorators’ Show House and Gardens homes. Meridian Street will be closed to traffic for the event. The course begins and ends at the Meridian Restaurant & Bar, 5694 N. Meridian Street.

The event includes both 5K and 1 mile walk options for adults and children. Distances offered:

5K - Adult 5K
5K - Kids’ 5K, ages 5-12
1 mile - Adult 1 Mile Walk
1 mile - Kids’ 1 Mile Walk, ages 5-12

Price for each listed event is $25. Each registered participant receives a t-shirt in adult or youth sizes. Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female finishers. Children ages 0-4 do not need to be registered. Proceeds benefit The Gregory S. Fehribach Center at Eskenazi Health, which supports paid internships and professional development to advance employment equity for college and university students with physical disabilities.
