DASH Adventure Race
The DASH Adventure Race takes place near Forest Rd 431 in Kamas, Utah, within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The event combines trekking, mountain biking, and navigation across local trails and forest terrain.
The longer sprint course uses the Slate Creek mountain biking trails. Mountain bikes are required for the sprint. Racers will navigate sections that require map and compass skills; foot-section checkpoints are located both on and off trail.
A family-oriented shorter course is provided for new and younger participants. All checkpoints for the family course are close to race headquarters and do not require map and compass navigation. Bikes are optional on the family route, which follows dirt trails that can be muddy but do not require technical riding. Children 15 and under are free as of race day and must be accompanied by an adult; each adult requires a registration.
The sprint is offered for solo competitors and for teams of two, three, or four. Volunteer roles support parking, racer registration, recording finish times, maintaining the finish and food area, removing checkpoints, and packing up race headquarters equipment.
