Run for Precious Hearts
Run for Precious Hearts is a community 1K and 5K event held in Pleasant Grove at Cook Family Park. The event honors loved ones affected by Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) and raises funds to support PAH awareness, patient advocacy, and research toward earlier diagnosis and better treatments. It is organized as a family friendly gathering that welcomes runners, walkers, children, and supporters.
The event includes multiple participation options:
- 1K family loop within Cook Family Park for kids, strollers, and walkers.
- Kids 1K (Ages 7 & Under) free course within Cook Family Park; adults may accompany.
- 5K scenic out-and-back starting and ending at Cook Family Park along sidewalks toward the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
- Virtual 5K complete anywhere during race week to support PAH awareness.
The 1K and kids 1K courses remain entirely inside Cook Family Park and are described as stroller- and parent-friendly. The 5K follows quiet sidewalks outward from the park and returns to the park finish. Registration is required for participants in the kids 1K. All net proceeds support PAH awareness, patient support, and research. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
