Dasche for the Stache 5K
The event is a themed road 5K in Downtown Gadsden focused on men’s health awareness, including topics such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, low testosterone, benign prostate hypertrophy, and erectile dysfunction. Participants are invited to grow, draw, or paste mustaches as part of the theme. Proceeds benefit The Man Up Gadsden Foundation.
The course begins and ends at Blackstone Pub & Eatery, located at 525 Broad Street, and the post-race gathering is hosted at the same venue. Alcohol will be served at the post-race party. Packet pick-up is handled at Blackstone Pub & Eatery and is normally set up in the courtyard, weather permitting; exact on-site locations may vary.
Entry for the 5K is $25. Members of the Gadsden Runners Club and Anniston Runners Club receive a $2 discount. Race day registration is $30. Registrations completed by October 15 are guaranteed a event tee shirt.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female 5K finishers. Age group awards are given to the top three in each five-year age group, excluding overall winners. Walkers and strollers are welcome. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
