Darwins Challenge Aquathlon 2026
The event takes place on 4 May 2026 at Shrewsbury School, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, postcode SY3 7BA. Entries close on Friday 24 April and no entries are accepted on the day.
All age groups swim in a 25 m flat form pool. Runs for adults, youth and juniors take place on traffic-free tarmac and gravel paths within the school grounds.
Event distances include:
- Adult and Youth: 400 m swim and 5 km run
- Tristart 8 years: 50 m swim and 600 m run
- Tristart 9–10 years: 150 m swim and 1000 m run
- Tristart 11–12 years: 200 m swim and 2000 m run
- Tristart 13–14 years: 300 m swim and 3000 m run
- Youth 15–16 years: 400 m swim and 5000 m run
Registration takes place in the sports hall beside the swimming pool entrance; participants must register during the designated registration period. For navigation use postcode SY3 7BA and use via postcode SY3 7AA to avoid the town centre. Parking is available on Ashton Road and surrounding residential streets; parking on school premises is not permitted.
Participants are expected to bring swimwear or a tri suit, goggles, a swim hat, running shoes, a T-shirt for running, towel(s), and a race belt or four safety pins for the race number. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
