Darwins Challenge Aquathlon 2026 : Shrewsbury School
The event combines an indoor swim in a 25m flat form pool with road and path running around the school grounds. Adult and Youth races use a fast, flat circuit within the school on a mixture of tarmac and gravel paths. The juniors' run consists of traffic-free loops on an out-and-back course that is flat and enclosed, run on tarmac and gravel paths.
Location details: Shrewsbury School, Kingsland, SY3 7BA, United Kingdom. Parking is available on Ashton Road and surrounding residential streets; parking on school premises is not permitted.
Distances:
- Adult & Youth: 400m swim and 5k run
- Tristart (age 8): 50m swim and 600m run
- Tristart 1 (age 9/10): 150m swim and 1000m run
- Tristart 2 (age 11/12): 200m swim and 2000m run
- Tristart 3 (age 13/14): 300m swim and 3000m run
- Youth (age 15/16): 400m swim and 5000m run
Registration takes place in the sports hall adjacent to the main entrance of the swimming facility. No entries are permitted on the day. Entry fees shown for the event are £30 for adults and £20 for juniors, with a booking fee applied. A race licence is required and its cost is included in the entry fee; members of Triathlon England or Triathlon Wales may receive a refund of that fee at registration if they produce a current membership card.
Suggested equipment includes swimwear or tri suit, goggles, swim hat, running shoes, towel, and a race belt or four safety pins. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
