About the race
The Daly Dash 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for 05/01/2027 at Mary Daly Elementary School, 1735 Strong Avenue, Elkhart, IN. Both the 5K and 1 mile courses run through the Strong Avenue neighborhood and begin and end at the school.

The 5K is organized in multiple age and grade divisions, including separate fields for adults (ages 18+), high school (grades 9–12), junior high (grades 7–8), and grade-specific races from kindergarten through grade 6. The 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk is open to all ages. Each event carries a registration fee of $25.00 and shares the same registration window.
Registration opens 11/29/2026 and closes 04/30/2027. Participants who register before 04/15 are guaranteed a race t-shirt. All runners receive participant ribbons. The top three male and female finishers in each division receive medals, and the top three overall male and female finishers receive trophies.
A Block Party is held on the school grounds during the event with free games and a bounce house; food is available for purchase from vendors. All events are held rain or shine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
