Format and rules

Runners complete repeated laps of a marked loop of 6.706 km. Each lap begins exactly at the top of the next hour; entrants start the next lap on the hour and may continue this pattern until they stop. The event is contested until one runner remains as the sole finisher. Organizers have imposed a maximum of 30 yards (30 laps) for all runners; if more than one runner finishes 30 yards, the finisher will be decided by a tie-breaking Mystery Challenge at the Start-Finish area on Sunday, July 26. The organizers note that each yard may not be precisely 6.706 km.

Team category and awards

A team category allows registration of 3-5 person teams. Team members start together but run individually; teams are ranked by the total yards completed by all members. Awards are planned for the team with the most yards, best costumes, and special team draw prizes.
