Event Information
The CVRR Backyard Ultra is the 7th annual edition of this event. It takes place at the Comox Valley Exhibition Grounds, located at 4839 Headquarters Rd in Courtenay, British Columbia.
The event follows the "Backyard Ultra" format: every hour on the hour, participants run a marked loop of 6.706 km through the forests and fields of the grounds. All runners must start each subsequent lap exactly at the top of the next hour. This pattern continues until a runner is no longer willing or able to continue.
A maximum of 30 yards (laps) is imposed, equating to a maximum event duration of 30 hours. If more than one runner remains after this point, a tie-breaking Mystery Challenge determines the sole finisher. A team category for 3-5 people is also offered; team ranking is based on the total number of laps completed by all its members.

The registration fee for the race varies by period:
- Early Bird fee: CA$39.66
- Regular fee: CA$50.40
- Last Minute fee: CA$61.12
