Event
The Cuyamaca 100K is a 100-kilometer trail race in Julian, CA, held within Cuyamaca Rancho State Park. The race is a Western States qualifying event. The start and finish are at Camp Cuyamaca off Highway 79. The park is approximately one hour east of San Diego.
Course
The course is made up of three distinct loops that start and end at Camp Cuyamaca, with minimal backtracking or repetition.
- First loop - 31.5 miles; western side, approaches Cuyamaca Peak (6,500 ft)
- Second loop - 12.6 miles; southeast corner near Oakzanita Peak
- Third loop - 18.3 miles; northern park section, briefly enters Anza Borrego and follows the PCT, then returns to the northern meadows
