Event

The Cuyamaca 100k takes place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, in Julian, CA. The race distance is 100K. The event starts and finishes at Camp Cuyamaca off Highway 79 in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, which is about one hour east of San Diego. Registration opens April 1, 2026. The race is a Western States qualifying event. Volunteers are requested for race support and a volunteer form is available.

Course

The course is entirely within Cuyamaca Rancho State Park for most of its length and consists of three distinct loops that begin and end at Camp Cuyamaca. The loops have minimal backtracking and cover different trail sets.

  • 31.5 miles - western side of the park, south to north, approaches Cuyamaca Peak at 6500'
  • 12.6 miles - southeast corner of the park near Oakzanita Peak
  • 18.3 miles - northern park section, briefly enters Anza Borrego, follows the PCT, returns to northern meadows

The final loop includes a brief exit from the park into Anza Borrego and sections along the Pacific Crest Trail with desert views before returning to the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
