Cuyamaca 100K (October 2, 2027)
The Cuyamaca 100K is a 100-kilometer trail race in Julian, CA, held within Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, approximately one hour east of San Diego. The course starts and finishes at Camp Cuyamaca off Highway 79 and is laid out as three distinct loops with minimal backtracking.
The first and longest loop of 31.5 miles traverses the western side of the park from south to north and approaches the summit of Cuyamaca Peak at 6500'. The second loop is 12.6 miles and covers the southeast corner of the park near Oakzanita Peak. The final loop of 18.3 miles moves through the park's northern section, briefly leaves the park into Anza Borrego, follows the Pacific Crest Trail with desert views, then returns through Cuyamaca’s northern meadows back to the main course.
The 2027 edition of this race serves as a 2028 Western States qualifying event. Registration opens on April 1, 2027. Volunteer positions are organized via a volunteer form. Participants who receive a waitlist invitation after July 30 should note that requested shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
