Anza Borrego Cuyamaca 50 Mile Run
The Anza Borrego Cuyamaca 50 Mile Run is a point to point trail race of approximately 50 miles in Julian, California. The course travels from the Sunrise Trailhead into Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, includes an ascent of Stonewall Peak, follows wooded trails near the lake, then drops down Oriflamme Canyon onto the desert floor to the finish at Stagecoach Trails RV Resort & Campground. Runners have 14.5 hours to complete the course.
Most aid stations are described as having easy access, and the event is family and crew friendly. The finish at Stagecoach Trails offers the option to camp overnight, plus a post race meal served in the resort dining hall and showers for participants.
Because the course is point to point, a pre race shuttle is offered as an add on for $15 to transport a vehicle from the finish area to the start in the morning.
