Anza Borrego Cuyamaca 50 Mile Run

The event is a point-to-point trail race covering 50 miles across varied terrain in San Diego County. The course runs from the Sunrise Trailhead into Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, includes an ascent of Stonewall Peak, follows wooded trails near the lake, and descends Oriflamme Canyon onto the desert floor to finish at Stagecoach Trails RV Resort & Campground. Runners have 14.5 hours to complete the course.

Most aid stations offer easy access for crews, and the race is described as family and crew friendly. The finish at Stagecoach Trails RV Resort & Campground provides options for overnight camping, a post-race meal served in the resort dining hall, and shower facilities. Organizers also run training opportunities on the race course in advance of the event.

Because the route is point-to-point, a pre-race shuttle is available for an additional $15 to transport runners from the finish-area parking to the start line in the morning. There is no post-race shuttle. The race takes place in and around Julian, CA, and moves from mountain trails down into desert terrain, offering a variety of trail surfaces and elevation changes along the route. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
