Cudahy Classic
The Cudahy Classic is a summer running event held in Sheridan Park, Wisconsin. The course follows a cross-country style start that transitions onto the Oak Leaf Trail. Participants run through the park grounds, which offer views of Lake Michigan and the Milwaukee skyline. The course is described as mostly flat and fast.
The event offers three distinct distances:
- 10 Miles: A two-lap course that serves as the RRCA state of Wisconsin 10-mile State Championship.
- 5 Miles: A single-loop run that follows the same path through the park and along the trail.
- 1 Mile Children's Race: A shorter distance specifically for younger participants.
The 10-mile championship event includes specific awards and cash prizes for the first male and female finishers in the Open, 40+, 50+, and 60+ divisions. General age group awards are also provided for the top three male and female finishers in five-year increments ranging from 19 and under to 80 and over.
Aid stations providing water and Gatorade are located at the 1.8, 3.8, 5.2, 6.8, and 8.8-mile marks. Following the race, participants receive a freshly cooked sausage provided by the Pompeii Men's Club. All registration is conducted online, and packet pick-up takes place at the clubhouse near the start and finish line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
