Crystal Lake Half Marathon

Crystal Lake Half Marathon & 12K : September 6, 2026
The event offers two distance options at Crystal Lake Main Beach in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Distances:
- Half Marathon
- 12K (7.44 miles)
Both races begin near the main beach and finish together in downtown Crystal Lake. The course route includes a loop around Lippold Park, a view of the Dole Mansion, a segment on the Prairie Path, and a point to point layout with bus transportation to the start that takes about five minutes.
Facilities and on-course support include inside building and beach side warm up areas, water stations approximately every 1.5 miles, and Gatorade at miles 7.5, 9, 10.5, and 12. Bathrooms are located at the start, at mile 5 (porta potty), at mile 11 (Prairie Path building), and at the finish line (porta potty). EMS and first aid are available along the course and first aid kits are placed at various water stations. The course is marked with turn arrows on the ground and course marshals direct runners.
After the finish there is a post race celebration with food, beverages, and awards; the party location is to be determined. Packet pick up information and a race day schedule are provided by the organizers.
