Cruel Jewel 50
Cruel Jewel 50 is scheduled for May 15, 2027 in Blue Ridge, Georgia. The event is a point to point trail race covering 57.5 miles between Blairsville and Blue Ridge through the Chattahoochee National Forest of the North Georgia Mountains. The course combines 50 miles of trails and 7.5 miles of mountain roads.
The route includes single track trails, sections called the Dragon's Spine, a historic steel bridge spanning the Toccoa River, lush hardwood forests, old growth poplar trees, ferns, rocks, roots and ridge lines. Runners will encounter steep ascents and steep descents. The course records about 17,000 feet of ascent and 17,000 feet of descent and there are 10 aid stations along the route.
Live tracking and bib numbers will be loaded and published the week of the race. The race packet will be available no later than two weeks prior to the event.
