Cruel Jewel 50 : event overview
Cruel Jewel 50 is presented as a point-to-point trail race in the Chattahoochee National Forest in the North Georgia Mountains, running from Blairsville to Blue Ridge, GA. The course is described as covering 57.5 miles, composed of 50 miles of trails and 7.5 miles of mountain roads. The finish is listed at 236 Camp Morganton Rd in Blue Ridge. Course and race logistics
The route passes through single-track trails, areas of ferns and old growth poplar trees, steep ascents and descents, a historic steel bridge spanning the Toccoa River, the Dragon's Spine, hardwood forests, and sections with rocks, roots and ridge lines.
