About the race

The Cruel Jewel 100 is a 103.54 mile foot race held in the Chattahoochee National Forest near Blue Ridge, Georgia. The course comprises about 94 miles of trails and 10 miles of mountain roads and includes 20 aid stations along the route.

Runners follow a loop from Blue Ridge to Blairsville and back. The course passes technical single track, fern lined sections, old growth poplar trees, steep ascents and steep descents, ridge lines, rocks and roots, a historic steel bridge spanning the Toccoa River, and a feature known as the Dragon's Spine. Total elevation change is listed as 33,000 feet of gain and 33,000 feet of loss.

The event is based at Camp Morganton, 236 Camp Morganton Rd, Blue Ridge, GA. It is organized by DUMAssEvents and is identified as a qualifier for both the Western States 100 and Hardrock events.
