The event date listed is May 15-17, 2026, with the start and finish at Camp Morganton near Blue Ridge, GA. The race has up to 250 participants and a 48-hour overall time limit. Course and competition details
The course covers approximately 104 miles, including about 12 miles of mountain roads and the remainder on trails, and is supported by 20 aid stations. Total elevation gain and loss are listed as 33,000 feet each. Cutoff times are enforced at aid stations. Entry requires prior qualification: any completed 100-mile trail run qualifies, or specific 50-mile results (Cruel Jewel 50 under 20 hours; Georgia Death Race under 18 hours; H9 Phat 50 finish).
Rules and logistics
Runners must stay on the marked course, check in at each aid station, and may receive aid only at designated stations. Pacers are allowed from the turnaround or crew-accessible aid stations, one pacer at a time, and must wear a pacer bib and sign a waiver. Trekking poles are allowed. Crews are restricted to crew-accessible aid stations and must follow parking rules. Limited primitive campsites are available at Camp Morganton; the nearest town with more lodging options is Blue Ridge, GA. Weather in May can include rain and typical temperatures of about 50°F to 75°F. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
