Event overview
The Crooked Lake Trail Run is scheduled for May 9, 2026, at Independence Oaks County Park, 9501 Sashabaw Road, Village of Clarkston, MI 48348. The event offers multiple entry options including a virtual division. Race services include chip timing with live results, a custom dri-fit race shirt, a custom finisher medal, overall and age group awards, free race photos, and post-race refreshments.
Course and logistics
Distances offered:
- 2.3 Mile : Lakeshore Loop, flat course with lakefront views
- 5K : Springlake Loop, rolling hills and forested sections
- 10K : Two laps of the 5K course
Trails are described as well maintained and wider than a standard 2-track trail, about 12 ft. Packet pick-up takes place on race day at Independence Oaks County Park (Twin Chimneys). Parking at the park is free. On-site registration will be available the day of the event. Dogs are not allowed on the race courses unless they are service dogs. Jogging strollers are permitted on the 2.3 Mile Run/Walk; the 5K route is noted as challenging for strollers, and children must remain securely fastened in strollers for safety and insurance reasons.
