Milford Rotary Club Freezing 5K and Frozen 1 Mile
The event takes place on December 5, 2026 at Kensington Metro Park West Boat Launch in Brighton, Michigan. It is organized as two separate running events on the same day: a 5K and a 1 Mile.
The 5K is a scenic paved out and back course that begins and finishes at the West Boat Launch, heads up to Baywood, then returns to the launch. The 1 Mile is a shorter route that will also use the West Boat Launch area. The launch is accessible from the Kensington Road entrance to the park.
Practical details include a Metro Park day pass requirement of $10 unless the participant already has a Metro Park pass. The 5K is chip timed. Race shirts are provided to 5K participants who register by December 1, 2026. Unique finisher medals are awarded and there are prizes or awards for top finishers. Registration fees are $30.00 for the 5K and $15.00 for the 1 Mile. Registration opens August 4, 2026 and closes November 14, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
