Coyote Crawl 5K and Head for the Hills 10K
The event offers two distances held on the grounds of Bellefontaine Cemetery, a 314 acre site described as Missouri's first Level III Arboretum and the oldest Garden Cemetery west of the Mississippi. Runners follow courses that traverse rolling hills and arboretum grounds during the autumn season, passing monuments that commemorate many people interred on site.
Available race options:
- 5K run or walk, in person or virtual
- 10K run or walk, in person or virtual
In-person entries are chip timed and include a race shirt and a commemorative medal when that option is selected. Packet pickup is on race morning. Virtual participants may complete their distance on their own between October 31 and November 7. Bicycles are not permitted in the races for safety reasons.
The in-person field is limited to the first 250 registrants because of parking limitations. Registrants must sign up before October 1 to retain the option to receive a shirt and medal. Awards will be presented to the top three male and top three female finishers in each race.
Proceeds support the Friends of Bellefontaine and benefit cemetery community programs such as Angels Rest, historic preservation, and educational tours. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
