The Spooky Sprint is a seasonal running event taking place in St. Louis, Missouri. This event features multiple distances to accommodate a variety of participants, including those interested in shorter dashes or longer endurance runs. The physical races are scheduled for late October, with a virtual participation option also available for those unable to attend in person.
Participants can choose from several race distances:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10k (6.2 miles)
- 5k (3.1 miles)
- 1 mile
- Kids Dash (50 meters)
The Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k events utilize chip-timing to provide live results and awards. All registrants for these distances receive a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a finisher medal. The 1 mile event is an untimed distance that includes the same participant swag. The Kids Dash is a brief, untimed run specifically for children aged 10 and under, with registration including a youth-sized shirt and a specific medal.
The event features specialized services for runners, including free photos taken during the race. Upon completing their respective distances, participants can access treats at the finish line. There is also a unique participation category that allows individuals to volunteer for event setup before running a distance of their choice later in the morning.
For those choosing the virtual race, items are earned by completing the distance at a location of the runner's choosing. To ensure shirt availability for in-person participants, registration must be completed by the designated deadline two Thursdays prior to the event.
