The 2026 Cowtown Race Weekend
The 2026 Cowtown Race Weekend is a multi-day running event held in Fort Worth, Texas, with activities across late February and early March 2026. The event site is 3400 Burnett Tandy Drive, Fort Worth, TX, United States. Both in-person and virtual options are offered; virtual entries are available from January 8 through March 31, 2026.

The event traces its history to 1979 and notes a 48-year history. New race distances were added over time: the 5K in 1998, the Kids 5K in 2003, the Half Marathon in 2005, and the Ultra Marathon in 2008. The organizers list multiple upcoming medals for 2026 and 2027, and a 50th anniversary medal planned for 2028 that can display earlier medals together.
A community program, C.A.L.F. Children’s Activities for Life and Fitness, began in 2009. The program spans 16 school districts, serves about 5,000 students annually, provides grants for new running shoes to low income children, and offers discounted youth race entries. To date, the event reports donating over 65,000 pairs of shoes. Fundraising figures shown are $19,163.39 raised toward a $25,000.00 goal.
