The 2027 Cowtown Race Weekend
The Cowtown Race Weekend takes place in Fort Worth, Texas, at 3400 Burnett Tandy Drive from February 26 to 28, 2027. The event is a multi-distance running weekend that began in 1979 and has run for 49 years.
In-person race distances include:
- Adults 5K
- Kids 5K presented by PNC Bank
- 10K
- Half Marathon
- Full Marathon
- Ultra Marathon presented by Miller Lite
Saturday features the 10K and both 5K races. Sunday features the half marathon, full marathon, and ultra marathon. A virtual race option runs from January 8 to March 31, 2027, covering the same distance categories.
The event includes live bands and cheering crowds along the course, a post-race after party, and commemorative medals with special designs for 2026, 2027, and a 2028 50th anniversary medal that can display prior medals together.
The Cowtown C.A.L.F. Program supports children through running programs and shoe distribution. Current fundraising shows $3,376.64 raised toward a $25,000 goal. Organizer figures note more than 65,000 pairs of running shoes provided historically and over 5,000 students given the chance to cross their first finish line each year. The C.A.L.F. Supporter Bib uses part of its fee as a tax-deductible donation and includes VIP Gold Pass benefits such as hospitality access, premium seating, private restrooms, and gear check.
