The 2026 Cowtown C.A.L.F. Race
The 2026 Cowtown C.A.L.F. Race is scheduled for October 3, 2026 in Fort Worth, Texas, with the gathering at Fort Worth City Hall and Fort Worth Trail. This is the 16th annual edition of the C.A.L.F. Run, presented as part of the Cowtown Marathon's youth program.
The C.A.L.F. Program was created in 2009 and visits approximately 400 schools across North Texas each year. Staff and volunteers train students in running technique and teach topics such as resting heart rate, hydration, nutrition, and maintaining an active lifestyle. Proceeds from the event support the C.A.L.F. Program and provide low income children with free running shoes and fitness training.

- 1 mile
- 5K
- 10K
Participants receive finisher swag for the 1 mile and custom medals for the 5K and 10K. The event includes a pancake breakfast included with registration, face painting for children, and a DJ playing music. Many children and families participate, and numerous school teams attend.
Packet pick-up takes place at The Cowtown Office (3584 S. Hills Ave., Suite 21, Fort Worth, TX 76109) on the days before the race and at City Hall (100 Fort Worth Trl., Fort Worth, TX 76102) on race day.
Age division awards are offered for the 5K and 10K, with youth divisions awarded five deep and adult divisions awarded three deep through 90 and older. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
