Covered Bridges Half Marathon : Event description
The Covered Bridges Half Marathon is a point to point road race of 13.1 miles held in Vermont. The course begins at Saskadena Six Ski Area in Pomfret and finishes at Dewey Mills Field in Quechee. The event is scheduled for the first Sunday in June.
The race is organized by CBHM, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Registration opens the first Monday in December at 7 PM ET. For the referenced year the race is completely sold out and non-profit partner bibs are already assigned.
Organizers set a three hour time limit and will provide official finish times for runners who finish within that limit. Beyond the three hour mark, participants should expect that traffic control, volunteer support, and water stations may not be maintained. Registration and race bibs are non-transferable and registration fees are non-refundable.
Race services and race-day operations include shuttle buses to the start area, bib pick-up at the start location, hydration stations, drop-bag service, finish-line food and beverage, awards and race photos. Information is also provided about parking, road closings, area lodging, a pre-race pasta supper, pacers, and training resources. The event partners with local towns and nonprofit organizations and lists course maps and official results for registered participants.
