Cotton Candy Classic 5K
The 8th annual Cotton Candy Classic 5K is scheduled for September 12, 2026 at Patriot Circle inside Chilhowee Park in Knoxville, Tennessee (3301 East Magnolia Ave, 37914). The event is a 5-kilometer road race listed as 3.1 miles and is held in conjunction with activities at the Tennessee Valley Fair.
Registration opens October 20, 2025 and the published entry fee is $25. Registration includes a Cotton Candy Classic 5K shirt if supplies are available at the time of registration and two admission tickets to the 2026 Tennessee Valley Fair. Registrations made in the week before the event may not receive a shirt if inventory is depleted.
Packet pickup is scheduled on the day of the race and parking is free in the Beaman Street parking lot. Participants approach registration by walking through the tunnel; registration is located to the right at the top of the hill.
All proceeds support the Tennessee Valley Fair Foundation. The foundation states its mission as preserving East Tennessee’s heritage by promoting agricultural awareness, supporting educational programs, and cultivating youth development through scholarships and youth activities.
