Event overview
The Cotswold Way Century is a single-stage trail running event held from Saturday 19 to Sunday 20 September 2026. The course is approximately 102 miles long and follows the Cotswold Way National Trail from Chipping Campden to Bath. The event starts in Chipping Campden at the Village Hall and runs along public rights of way. There are no road closures on the route, so participants must follow normal road regulations on any road sections. Participants have 32 hours to complete the course, with intermediate cut-offs along the route. The minimum age for entry is 21. Entries open 1 October 2025 and close 1 September 2026. At the time of listing, 35 participants were entered. Entry fees are listed for UKA members and non-members, with higher tariffs applying from 1 January 2026.
Course and services
The route is hilly and includes a mix of road sections, hard stone tracks, grassy paths, and ploughed fields. Route waymarking relies on existing Cotswold Way markers (acorn); occasional additional markings may be used near checkpoints or where the route has alternative lines. The event provides a race number and live tracking, a full GPX route file, food stations and course support, and medical coverage. Finishers receive a buckle and there are Sub 24-hour buckles. Options are available to purchase a tech t-shirt or hoodie, professional race photos, and an XCover refund option. The event organiser is Cotswold Trail Events and the location is Chipping Campden School, Cidermill Lane, Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire.
