Event overview
The Cotswold Way Century is a single-stage, non-stop trail running event on the Cotswold Way National Trail. The route runs from Chipping Campden to Bath and is approximately 102 miles in length. The course follows public rights of way and includes many ascents and descents. Surfaces include short road sections, hard stone tracks, grassy paths and some ploughed fields. Route markings are mainly the existing Cotswold Way markers (acorn), with occasional additional markings near checkpoints or where the route has more than one option. There are no road closures on public road sections.
Logistics and entries
The event is scheduled for 19 to 20 September 2026. Entries open 1 October 2025 and close 1 September 2026. The minimum age is 21 on the event date. Entry fees are listed for UKA members and non-members and increase from 1 January 2026. At the time of listing there are 14 participants entered.
Participants have a 32-hour time limit to complete the course, with intermediate cut-offs along the route. Entry includes a race number, live open tracking, a full GPX route file, food stations, and medical support. Finishers receive a buckle and there are Sub 24 buckles. Participants may purchase a tech t-shirt, hoodie, and professional photos. Optional XCover insurance is available for potential refund protection. The event organiser is Cotswold Trail Events.
