About the race
The Cotswold Way Century is a single-stage, non-stop trail running event covering approximately 102 miles along the Cotswold Way National Trail, traveling from Chipping Campden to Bath. The event is scheduled for 19 to 20 September 2026.
The route follows public rights of way and uses the existing Cotswold Way waymarkers (the acorn). Organisers may add occasional markings near checkpoints or where the route has more than one option. There are no road closures on the course, so participants and supporters must respect normal road regulations on road sections.
The terrain includes frequent climbs and descents, a few road sections, long stretches of hard stone track, grassy paths and several ploughed fields. Due to possible official diversions and changing conditions, the overall distance may vary from pre-race information.
Participants have 32 hours to complete the course, with intermediate cut-offs at set points. Entry includes a race number, live open tracking, a full GPX route file, food stations and medical support. Finishers receive a finishers buckle and Sub 24 buckles are offered. There are options to purchase a tech t-shirt, a hoodie, and professional race photos. XCover insurance is available to purchase separately. The event requires entrants to meet the minimum age of 21.
