Cotswold Way Century
The Cotswold Way Century is a single-stage trail running event of approximately 102 miles along the Cotswold Way National Trail, running from Chipping Campden to Bath. The route follows public rights of way and includes sections on trails, hard stone tracks, some road sections, grassy paths and ploughed fields. The course is notably hilly with frequent ascents and descents.
Participants must follow existing Cotswold Way waymarks, typically the acorn markers. Organisers may add occasional markings at checkpoints or where the route has multiple options, but the primary navigation is the established trail waymarks. There are no road closures on the route so runners and supporters must observe normal road regulations on road sections. Official diversions may alter the overall distance due to changing conditions.
The event is timed with a 32 hour completion limit and intermediate cut-offs along the route. Event services include race numbers with live open tracking, a full GPX route file, food stations and course support, and medical cover. Finishers receive a buckle and there are Sub 24 hour buckles available. Participants may purchase a tech t-shirt or hoodie and professional race photos will be offered for sale. Optional XCover insurance is available as an added extra. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
