Cotswold Half Way
The Cotswold Half Way is a single stage trail running event of approximately 47 miles that follows the Cotswold Way National Trail between Chipping Campden and Painswick. The route runs largely on public rights of way and uses the existing Cotswold Way waymarks as the primary route markers; occasional additional markings or official diversions may be used where required.
The course includes steep and frequent climbs and descents, several short road sections, hard stone tracks, grassy paths and some ploughed fields. There are no road closures for the event, so participants and supporters must observe normal road regulations on non trail sections. The organisers state that the overall distance may be altered by official diversions due to changing conditions.
Entries require registration with the event entry system. The minimum age is 21. Entry periods and fees are published for the event and include separate fees for UKA members and non members. A time limit of 15 hours applies to complete the course, with intermediate cut offs on the route.
Entry includes a race number, live tracking, a full route GPX file, provisioned food stations and support, medical cover and a finishers medal. There are optional purchases for event clothing and professional race photography, and optional XCover protection is available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
