Corre con Los Muertos - Run with the Dead
The third annual Corre con Los Muertos - Run with the Dead takes place at Cascades Park in Jackson, Michigan. The event serves as a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month and Dia de Los Muertos. Organized by Nuestra Comunidad, the event directs all proceeds toward supporting scholarships and resources for Hispanic students within the local community.
Participants can choose from the following events:
- 5k Run
- 5k Walk
- Kids Run
The event is held at the Cascades Amphitheater, where parking is available for attendees. The 5k course is professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation with live results provided during the race. According to event regulations, dogs are not permitted on the course, with the exception of service animals.
Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners, as well as masters winners for both the run and the walk. Furthermore, the top three finishers in several age groups, ranging from youth categories to 85+, are eligible for individual awards. Participants who register by the specified October deadline are guaranteed an event T-shirt. Early packet pickup is available the day prior to the race at Lean Rocket Lab in downtown Jackson, while race-day pickup is also offered at the park.
