Coronado Turkey Trot at Tidelands Park

The Coronado Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving running event held at Tidelands Park in Coronado, California. The event includes an in-person 5K run/walk, a Virtual 5K, and a Tiny Trotters fun run for children five and under. The 5K follows a scenic out-and-back route along the San Diego Bay. Tiny Trotters run the same course alongside family members.

Net proceeds benefit the Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes at Rady Children’s Hospital, supporting children and families affected by Type 1 Diabetes. Paid 5K participants receive an event shirt and a finisher medal; virtual participants receive mailed race items to the address provided at registration. Age-based pricing for participants 15 and under is applied automatically at registration.

Registration details differ by entry type, with fees listed for each option and specific registration open and close dates. Packet pick-up is offered before race day and on race day at Tidelands Park; walk-up registration is available if the event is not sold out. Photo identification is required for packet pick-up, and one person may pick up items for another with a copy of that person’s photo ID. For safety, only children under six may bring scooters, and bicycles or pets are not allowed on the course.
