Grateful Run 10K
The Grateful Run takes place in San Diego, California, near Mission Bay. This community-focused running event is held during the Thanksgiving season and emphasizes movement and gratitude. Participants can choose between several distances, including a 10K, a 5K, and a 1-Mile run for children.
The 10K course follows an out-and-back route. Runners complete this specific loop twice (2X) to reach the full distance. The event is not chip-timed; instead, a race clock starts at the official beginning of the run and finish times are recorded manually by event staff. All participants are expected to follow specific course signage and directions provided by volunteers to ensure a safe environment.
Registered participants receive several items as part of their entry:
- 10 km race entry
- 5 km race entry
- 1 mile kids run
- 6.2 miles virtual run
- 3.1 miles virtual run
The registration package includes a finisher medal and a specific bracelet provided by a local partner. Photography is available during the event, and participants have access to digital race photos after the run. The event concludes with a celebration at the finish line area. There is also a virtual option for those who wish to participate from different locations.
The Kids 1-Mile Grateful Run is designed for children to run, jog, or walk at their own pace. While the event is intended for children to participate independently, parents are permitted to accompany their children on the course if necessary.
