The Thankful Paws Turkey Trot is a running event held on Thanksgiving morning, November 26, 2026. It takes place at Rohr Park in Bonita, California.

The Dog Mile is specifically for participants with their dogs.
Event Details
All finishers in each event receive a custom finisher medal. Participants also receive a custom race t-shirt, free race photos, chip timing with live results, and a chance to place in age group awards. The race is described as having a scenic course that runs alongside a golf course and a community park.
All proceeds from the event benefit Kane's Animal Rescue, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to helping abandoned and at-risk pets.
Participant Information
For the Dog Mile, dogs must be on a 3-5 foot leash and participants are asked to bring doggy bags and water for their pets. Parents are allowed to run with their children in the Kids 1 Mile Run. Participants who registered before November 20, 2026 can pick up their race bibs at a designated store in Chula Vista on the Sunday before the event; others will pick up their bibs on race day.
