Thankful Paws Turkey Trot
The 2nd Annual Thankful Paws Turkey Trot is scheduled for November 26, 2026 at Rohr Park, 4548 Sweetwater Rd, Bonita, CA 91902. The event includes road races and pet-focused activities on a course that winds through the park and alongside the golf course.
- 10K two loops around the course
- 5K one loop around the course
- Dog Mile one mile for dogs and handlers
- Kids 1 Mile one mile for kids 12 and under
The Dog Mile requires dogs to remain on a 3-5 ft leash and to be comfortable around people and other dogs. Participants are asked to bring doggy bags and water for their pets. All dogs will receive a finisher medal. For an official Dog Mile result, the dog must cross the finish line ahead of its owner or handler.
Race routing notes state that 10K runners will complete two loops and may encounter 5K runners on the course; runners and walkers with dogs are advised to stay on the inside of the course, and passing should be done on the right around slower participants. Registration fees listed by the organizer are $45 for the 10K, $35 for the 5K, $15 for the Dog Mile, and $20 for the Kids 1 Mile. A portion of event proceeds will benefit Kane's K9s & Animal Rescue.
