Event overview

The Cornish Marathon is organised by East Cornwall Harriers and takes place on Sunday 2 November 2025 in Pensilva, Liskeard (Princess Road, PL14 5NF). The event is an all-road marathon and entries for 2025 were sold out; entries were limited to 475. The minimum age for participants is 18. The race is chip timed and a course measurement was renewed in 2023. A race cut-off of 6.5 hours will be in place with marshals standing down after this time.

Course and facilities

The race starts and finishes at the Millennium Centre, Pensilva, on a scenic circular out-and-back route. The course elevation is approximately 2200 ft and includes a notable climb to Foredown between miles 24 and 25. The route passes local landmarks including Golitha Falls, Colliford Lake, Dozmary Pool, Jamaica Inn, Bolventor Valley, King Doniets Stones, the Draynes Valley and the Fowey Valley. Water stations are located at miles 3, 6, 9, 14 (new location for 2025), 17, 21 and 24; special drinks are available at miles 13 and 21.
