Event

The Cornish Marathon is Cornwall’s only all-road marathon. The next edition is scheduled for 1 November 2026, with entries due to open in early May 2026. The organisers have introduced a race cut-off of 6.5 hours and will set cut-off points around the course with required target times. The event supports local charities and community groups and includes a donation station for the Liskeard and Looe food bank on race day.

Course and logistics

The race starts and finishes at the Millenium Centre in Pensilva on a scenic circular out-and-back route. The route passes the Draynes Valley, areas of Bodmin Moor including Dozmary Pool, Jamaica Inn at Bolventor, and returns along the Fowey Valley. Runners encounter an ascent to Foredown between miles 24 and 25. Total elevation on the course is approximately 2,200 ft. Water stations are located at miles 3, 6, 9, 14 (new location for 2025), 17, 21 and 24, with special drinks provided at miles 14 and 21. The course measurement was renewed in 2023. Results for recent years (2022–2025) are published by the organisers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
