Event Details
The Cookson 10K takes place on 20 May 2026 in Monkseaton, Whitley Bay. The entry fee is £24.00 for affiliated runners and £26.00 for unaffiliated runners. Online registration opens at 11:00 on 14 February 2026.
Course & Facilities
This is a 10 km road race on a two-lap course described as fast and flat. The start and finish are at Monkseaton High School. The event features chip timing. After the run, there are cakes, cookies, flapjacks, tea, and coffee. A race t-shirt is provided for participants. Facilities include water stations, distance markers, toilets, and a baggage store. There are no changing facilities or showers on site. The race is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Registration
Entry must be completed online in advance; there is no entry on the day of the race. The participant limit is 550. Name changes are permitted until 29 April. T-shirts are ordered in advance based on registration numbers, so size changes may not be possible after the order date. The event does not offer refunds or deferrals.
