Cookie Classic Run 2027
The Cookie Classic Run takes place on January 16, 2027, at 1246 Dismal Swamp Canal Trail in Chesapeake, VA. It is a multi-distance family-friendly run and walk held on a flat, out-and-back asphalt course. Girl Scout Cookies are available at the finish for in-person participants.
Distances include:
- 1 mile
- 5K
- 10K
Event features for in-person entries include chipped timing, digital finisher certificates, professional race photos with digital images provided at no fee, and start/finish porta-potties. All 1-mile participants receive a commemorative patch. 5K and 10K finishers receive swag and a medal, and there are age placement awards for 5K and 10K. Course support includes water stations on the 5K and both water and Gatorade on the 10K. A DJ and warm-up session are listed among event amenities.
A virtual 5K called Do-Si-Don't Show is offered; virtual participants receive finisher gifts, a medal, a T-shirt and a race bib by post but do not receive a box of cookies. The Conquering the Cookie Challenge is a two-part in-person series that combines this event with a second race; an additional fee is required to join the challenge and finishers earn a special pin or bling.
