Conquer The Beast is scheduled for May 23, 2026 in Hubbard, NE at Danish Alps State Recreation Area (Kramper Reservoir). The event is run as a Last Beast Standing format. Course, rules and facilities
The course is a 4.167 mile loop around Kramper Reservoir. The reservoir area is encircled by two trails - one intended for hiking and biking and another for horseback riding. The Last Beast Standing rule requires competitors to consecutively run 6.706 kilometres (4.167 mi) in under one hour, which is stated as a pace equivalent to 100 miles per 24 hours. The race continues until only one runner remains to complete a lap; that runner is marked as the winner and only finisher, while other runners receive a DNF.
Danish Alps State Recreation Area offers camping options including Electric Plus, Basic, and Equestrian Electric Plus sites. Facilities include water, modern restrooms, and showers. Some campsites have electrical hookups and ADA pads; a portion of sites can be reserved up to 180 days in advance during peak season (April 15 to Oct. 15), while other sites are first-come, first-served with fees registered via on-site Iron Ranger.
