No Shame Shindig - June 27, 2026
No Shame Shindig is a multi-distance running event held at Willow Creek State Recreation Area near Pierce, Nebraska. The event includes several distance options and takes place on the trails around the 700 acre Willow Creek Reservoir managed by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. The 2026 edition adds a marathon distance and new participant swag.

The course uses an 8-mile limestone hike and bike trail composed mostly of crushed limestone with about 0.50 miles of black concrete. Onsite participant items include a T shirt, SpeedCup, bib belt, and cooling towel. Finishers receive a finisher medal, and top male and female finishers of each distance receive a custom plaque.
Willow Creek SRA provides multiple camping options including Electric Plus, Electric, Basic, Equestrian Electric Plus, and Equestrian Basic sites. Willow Way Campground lists 165 campsites with electricity and additional basic sites. Amenities include picnic tables, fire rings or grills, drinking water, restrooms, showers, laundry, and a dump and fill station located in the town of Pierce. About half the campsites accept reservations; the remainder are first-come, first-served with self-registration via an iron ranger.
Race day food offerings include sandwiches, snacks, sweets, potatoes, gummies, a variety of drinks, water, ice, and electrolytes. Registration closes on Fri, Jun 26, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
