No Shame Shindig : Pierce, Nebraska
No Shame Shindig is a multi-distance trail event held at Willow Creek State Recreation Area near Pierce, Nebraska. For 2026 the event is in its second year and adds a marathon distance and new swag. A 15 hour cutoff applies to all distances.
The course uses an 8 mile limestone hike and bike trail. A 2 mile connector trail to Pierce may be used but that option is under consideration.

Willow Creek State Recreation Area is located on the 700 acre Willow Creek Reservoir, about 4 miles southwest of Pierce and about 15 miles northwest of Norfolk. Willow Way Campground on site includes 165 campsites with electricity plus additional basic campsites. Amenities listed include picnic tables, fire rings and grills, drinking water, a dump and fill station, modern restrooms, showers and laundry. Half the campsites take reservations; the remainder are first come, first served with self-registration via on-site iron ranger boxes.
Swag items include a T shirt, SpeedCup, bib belt, and cooling towel. Awards include a finisher medal and custom plaques for top male and female finishers of each distance. Race day food at the start and finish includes PB&J, chips, cookies, quesadillas, grilled cheese, pickles, candy, crackers, potatoes, gummies, soft drinks, water, ice, and electrolytes. A finish meal is to be determined.
