No Shame Shindig - June 27, 2026
No Shame Shindig is a multi-distance endurance event held near Pierce, Nebraska at Willow Creek State Recreation Area. Distances offered include the following.
- 50 Miler
- 50K
- Marathon
- 1/2 Marathon
The course uses an 8-mile limestone hike and bike trail composed mainly of crushed limestone, with about 0.50 miles of black concrete. The event takes place on the 700 acre Willow Creek Reservoir property managed by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, roughly 4 miles southwest of Pierce and about 15 miles northwest of Norfolk.
Participant items include a T shirt, SpeedCup, bib belt, and a cooling towel. Finishers receive a finisher medal, and the top male and female finishers of each distance receive a custom plaque.
Willow Creek State Recreation Area offers several camping types: Electric Plus, Electric, Basic, Equestrian Electric Plus, and Equestrian Basic. Willow Way Campground has 165 campsites with electricity plus additional basic sites. On-site amenities include picnic tables, fire rings and grills, drinking water, a dump and fill station, modern restrooms, showers, and laundry. Half the campsites can be reserved; the remainder are first-come, first-served and use iron ranger self-registration with check or cash only.
On-course and start/finish food options list PB&J, chips, cookies, quesadilla, grilled cheese, pickles, candy, crackers, potatoes, gummies, a variety of sodas, water, ice, and electrolytes. Discount codes are available for Military (25 percent), Donor (10 percent), and First Responders (25 percent), with proof required within 24 hours after signup.
