Event Overview
The No Shame Shindig is a running event taking place on June 27, 2026, at the Willow Creek State Recreation Area near Pierce, Nebraska. The event is in its second year and offers four race distances.
Location
The event is held at Willow Creek State Recreation Area, a state park located approximately 4 miles southwest of Pierce, Nebraska. The park is situated on a 700-acre reservoir.
Course and Distances
The main course is an 8-mile limestone hike and bike trail. Organizers are evaluating the use of a 2-mile connector trail to the town of Pierce. The available race distances are:

- 50K

There is a 15-hour overall cutoff time for all distances.
Swag and Awards
All participants receive a race T-shirt, SpeedCup, bib belt, and cooling towel. Every finisher gets a medal. The top male and female finisher in each distance receive a custom plaque.
Additional Information
Food will be available at the start/finish area, including items like PB&J sandwiches, chips, cookies, quesadillas, and various snacks and drinks. A finish meal is to be determined. Lodging is available at the Willow Creek SRA campground, which offers over 165 campsites with options for electric hookups. Some sites are reservable, while others are first-come, first-served.
