About the race
No Bull Around is a multi distance timed running event held at Willow Creek State Recreation Area near Pierce, NE. The course is an out-and-back on the Limestone Hike/Bike Trail with a 2 mile out and 2 mile return for a 4 mile loop. The Start/Finish and main aid station are at the Warren G.
Otto Picnic Area boat launch. The campground serves as the turnaround and a crew access point. Aid support includes a staffed main aid station at the Start/Finish and an unmanned aid station at the campground stocked with water, ice, Tailwind sports drink, and snacks. Race day food offerings include snacks, fresh fruit, hot and cold options, and scheduled hot meals such as pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, quesadillas, ramen, soup, and spaghetti.
Beverages include water, coffee, pickle juice, and Tailwind. Ice is available. Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers in each race category; there are no cash prizes. Category winners receive a custom award plaque by Richter’s Design.
Event swag includes a Beast Trail Racing speed cup, sun-proof long sleeve shirt, time-specific medals or buckles, trucker hats, and face gaiters. Time specific awards are given by distance category. Camping at Willow Creek SRA includes electric and basic sites, equestrian options, and a campground with 165 electric sites. Approximately half the campsites are reservable; remaining sites are first-come, first-served with self-registration iron ranger boxes.
