No Bull Around It : Willow Creek State Recreation Area
No Bull Around is a timed endurance running event at Willow Creek State Recreation Area near Pierce, Nebraska. The event offers multiple timed formats on a limestone hike-and-bike trail that uses a 2 mile out-and-back loop equal to 4 miles. The start and finish are at the Warren G. Otto picnic area, with the turnaround at the park campground where crew access is possible.

Camping and facilities are available at Willow Creek SRA. Willow Way Campground includes about 165 electric campsites plus additional basic sites, picnic tables, fire rings/grills, drinking water, modern restrooms, showers, and laundry. A dump and fill station is located in the town of Pierce. Some campsites take reservations while others are first-come, first-served with on-site iron ranger self-registration (check or cash only).
Support and rules include aid at a staffed crew area and an unmanned halfway aid station stocked with water, ice, Tailwind sports drink, and snacks. Hot meals and snacks are offered during the event with vegan and vegetarian options. Pacing is allowed under event rules: 48 and 24 hour participants may use pacers after the first 12 hours; 12 hour participants may use pacers after the first 8 hours; 6 and 3 hour events do not allow pacers.
Awards and swag are provided. Awards to the top male and female in each category are custom plaques; there are no cash prizes. Swag includes a speed cup, sunproof long sleeve, distance specific medals and buckles, and backpacks. Medals are given for half marathon and marathon distances; buckles are available for 50k, 50 miles, 100k, 100 miles, 150 miles, and a custom named buckle for 200 miles.
