The Concord Classic offers three events:
- Concord Classic 5K Run
- Concord Classic 5K Walk
- 1/2 Mile Kids Run
Details
This is the 35th edition of the event. Proceeds benefit the Concord High School cross country team and running in the local community.
Awards are given in several categories. Overall awards go to the top male and female finishers in the Open and Masters (40+) categories for both the 5K Run and 5K Walk. Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in various divisions for both the run and walk. Participants in the Kids Run receive a ribbon.
The event has an entry fee of $25 until June 16, which increases to $30 from June 17 to June 24. A t-shirt is guaranteed for the first 100 registrants.
Packet pickup is scheduled for Tuesday, June 23 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM and on race day from 6:00 PM to 7:05 PM. It takes place in front of the Concord High School Gym, with access from Monroe Street. Parking is available in the High School or Middle School parking lots.
Dogs are not permitted at the event, with an exception for service animals. The race is chip-timed by the Michigan Running Foundation, with results texted to participants and posted live online. The Concord Classic is part of the 2026 ORS Race Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
